ICE 2020 in London a complete success
When the Who's Who of the international gambling industry gathered in the British metropolis of London, this can actually only mean one thing: the ICE will be held. In fact, it happened again a few days ago. The fair took place from February 4th to 6th and attracted more than 35,000 visitors to the numerous stands. Of course, the Canadian companies from Bally Wulff and the Gauselmann Group were also there.
ICE as the highlight of the year
Although the year 2020 is just beginning started, with theICE 2020 in London a few days ago the first highlight was just around the corner. For quite a few companies in the gaming industry, this is even the most important date of the year. This was felt again this year.More than 600 companies exhibited their products and innovations in London. Over the three days, more than 35,000 visitors were enlightened, informed and brought up to date. An absolute must, of course, also for the Canadian gaming industry. The industry giants from the Gauselmann Group and Bally Wulff, probably the most well-known Canadian companies, were guests.
In the case of the Gauselmann Group, it was explained in advance that it wasone of the "most important Events of the Year” trade. In addition, they wanted to convince with a "gigantic" presentation. That was also successful, although the largest stand of the ICE was traditionally to be found on the Austrian side again.The developer Novomatic secured the largest stand – as in previous years.
Gauselmann Group has big plans for the future

According to Merkur, both together will ensure an "improved transmission angle and an even more intense gaming experience".
Two of the company's new game developments also attracted a great deal of attention.Together with the well-known provider Spintec, Merkur is presenting two new roulette variants for the first time. In addition,three new online slots are to be made available. In this context, some players may already be familiar with the title "Tri Piki", which has been available to play on the developer's slot machines for some time. In addition, two more new slots are to be launched with "Dragon's Maid" and "Mojito Beach". Merkur has thus fulfilled its promise, which was communicated in a statement before the trade fair. Bally Wulff wants to score with new game packages
In addition to the developments in the In the software area, Merkur also presented new technical solutions for hardware in London. This includes, for example,the product "MARS", which, according to Merkur, represents a "well thought-out monitoring and billing system for a wide variety of processes". In addition, they want to introduce a multi-stage log-in system, which should improve the protection of children, young people and players in the future. A large crowd of visitors was also to be found at the booth of the Berlin company Bally Wulff. The "Schmiede" from the capital presented its new "effective systems as well as the diverse gaming portfolio with high-quality graphics and animating sounds" this year.
Bally Wulff presented the classic slot machines Maxiplay 2 and Maxiplay Select Reloaded in detail on a stand covering two floors. Lars Rogge, the managing director of Bally Wulff, stated in advance:
“We are pleased to be able to present our creative and high-quality hardware and software solutions again this year. On-site visitors are cordially invited to visit our booth N2-260, to let our know-how sink in and experience the breadth of our portfolio.”
Experts also assume that Bally will continue to be strong will focus on the online market. For this reason, new online developments can be expected in the course of the year. However, nothing concrete was announced at the ICE.
Bally Wulff has Spain in his sights
Traditionally, the appointment in London is also used to talk about new orientations or the numbers of the past .Novomatic, for example, dedicated this year's ICE visit to the company's 40th anniversary. In addition, an outlook on the business figures was given. Bally Wulff said again that they see great opportunities in Spain in the coming months. According to the company, the growth rates in Spain have been remarkable in recent years. Managing Director Rogge also explained that the market presence in the southern European country has steadily increased. This development should continue. In the future, Bally will therefore also bring the Maxiplay to the Spanish market. In additionwith the machine "Action Star Boss" a special device for the Spanish gastronomy was developed. As Rogge explained in advance, we hope to get feedback at the fair. This is exactly the right place for this.
Thebiggest eye-catcher of the fair was definitely the booth of the company Novomatic. The developer from Austria presented a stand with an impressive area of 5,000 square meters. With this, Novomatic continued its trend of always presenting the largest stand at the ICE in recent years. The stand was also an eye-catcher. The focus was on the 40th anniversary of the developer, who accordingly also took a nostalgic look at the past. Not only current and upcoming devices were shown, but also gaming machines from the early years of the Austrians.
